Privacy Policy

Tech Auto Barrie ("we"), 75 Anne Street South, Barrie, Ontario L4N 2E2, respects your privacy and follows Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). Last updated: November 1, 2026.

What we collect

Booking requests: your name, phone number, optional email, vehicle details, the services and time you choose, and any notes.
Quote requests: the same contact details, your message and any photos you send.
Messages: when you message us on Facebook Messenger, Instagram or WhatsApp, we receive your name or username as shown on that service and the messages and attachments you send us.
Technical data: a one-way scrambled form of your IP address to stop spam, and anonymous visit statistics (Cloudflare Web Analytics, no cookies).

How we use it

Only to answer you, confirm and carry out appointments, prepare estimates and keep records of the work we do on your vehicle. We send specials or reminders only if you tick the box asking for them, and you can opt out at any time. We never sell your information.

Where it is stored

Our website and records run on Cloudflare's servers. Messages you send on Facebook, Instagram or WhatsApp are also kept by Meta under its own privacy policy. Only our staff can see your information, through a password-protected admin area.

How long we keep it

Booking, quote and message records are kept for as long as needed to serve you and meet our legal and tax obligations, normally up to seven years for work records. Photos sent for a quote are deleted when the request is deleted.

Your choices and deleting your data

You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, including your Facebook or Instagram conversation with us. Email info@techautobarrie.com or call (705) 719-1117, and we will respond within 30 days.
